awnings

On a beautiful mountain hotel in Apaneca, El Salvador. A very cold town for such a tropical country!

Poststamps on the mirror

I took these three images on my way from work the other day. It was a beautiful evening, with the sky full of orange hues from the sunset. I took the first and second pics through the lateral rearview mirror of the car. Once again, these were taken with my phone.

pipes

The top of the table on a thai restaurant.

Barbwire

This is actualy a drawing on the back of a book (an essay compilation by Carlos Alberto Montaner) and I just closed up on it (again, my phone). You'd think is a barbwire fence on a very foggy day.

Vigil

I was just smoking on the patio that night. I sort of like the mystic and profane mix of the light of the candles over the newspaper front page. I took this with my cell phone camera (RAZR V3).

Bored in class

I was so bored that day, I just started playing with the (shitty, admitedly) camera of my mobile. These are the blinds of the classroom window, which were not enough to keep out the light of a terribly beautiful summer day.

So serious.

the moon in sepia

The image is a little overexposed, but I simply love the way light plays with the clouds of the night.

la luna

The moon. This is my first shot with a new cam I just received. Right out of the box! I just mounted it on a tripod and that was it.

And this picture (my first one) reminds me of a poem I very much love. I read it for the first time some 4 years ago, in a posh italian restaurant in Bogotá.

La luna

by Jaime Sabines

ayudan a bien morir
